Painting

Painting is my favorite thing to do in the world. I am totally focused, there is nothing but me and the canvas and the brushes and colors. I totally zone in on it, and lose everything around me.

Paper dress swapping...oh yeah!

OK, so paper dress swapping is really fun! This is the sweet package I got from Erin at Brides Design. These dresses she made are really beautiful and I hung them up on the wall so they can cheer me up when I feel mucky. (I have been feeling mucky lately). My first thought was, WOW...our dresses are so very different! I love this! Here are the dresses I made for Erin. I had a great time making them. I would love to get involved in more swaps like this, so if any of you know about some, let me know! I saw there was a great place to go and check for swaps, and I will definitley be over that way to check them out.
So, our high temperature today is 93. This is amazing and scary to me. October 8th and no sign of fall. Plenty hot enough to go swimming. It's getting me down, because I am ready for fall. I want to thank everyone for all of the nice comments you make here, I am happy to hear your voices (in writing) and I can feel your smiles. I have so many projects open right now, I feel like I have been drowning in my work..and so much so that I have been dreaming about it at night, and it has been hard to sleep. (That kind of tells you that you need a breather, I guess right?). So Saturday, I spent the day roaming the world. There were a lot of interesting things to see out there! I picked up some 1960's art instruction books from a rummage sale. The day was spent roaming the wild blue yonder, drinking good coffee, watching good movies, eating good food all in the company of good friends and loved ones. You cannot ask for anything better than that. So I am going over to Illustration Friday to check out what all the hoopla is about...a monster show..and a special Illustration friday...awesome!
